Questo periodico, annuale, si propone di indagare sul fenomeno della centuriazione in età antica, fenomeno che ebbe in sé molti valori (militari, politici, economici e sociali), ma che fu insieme anche un'opera d'arte del tutto particolare. Ambiti propri della rivista sono soprattutto gli studi storico-territoriali, i caratteri generali e specifici delle centuriazioni (senza trascurare la loro relazione con la morfologia dei terreni) e le loro partizioni, ma anche i problemi catastali, amministrativi e giuridici, le metodologie di rilievo e di restituzione del disegno agrario antico, l'assetto agrario e la qualità dei suoli correlati con le colture praticate o con le forme di allevamento. Oltre ai contributi che formano il corpo di ogni volume (redatti nelle lingue europee più diffuse), è prevista anche una sezione che raccoglie le recensioni e le segnalazioni bibliografiche che si vorranno far pervenire alla rivista.

This annual Journal is dedicated to exploring the phenomenon of centuriazione in the ancient times. Incorporating and embodying many military, political, economic and social values, at the same time the land itself became a very singular work of art. The main areas of interest covered by the Journal are historico-territorial studies and the general and specific characteristics of centuriations (as well as their relationship to the morphology of the land) and their divisions. It also welcome articles on land registry, administrative and juridical problems, methods for revealing and recovering ancient agrarian patterns, agrarian order and soil quality in relation to the types of cultivation practiced and livestock breeding. In addition to contributions comprising the main body of each volume (to be published in several European lenguages), the Editorial Staff also plan to include a section devoted to any book reviews and recommended reading submitted by the Journal's Readers.
